All About Me- Jaycey Carlson

I'm Jaycey Carlson and I'm from the southern suburbs of Chicago, IL. My family, friends, God, and theatre are the most important things in my life. With them, life is great. Passion and love are also things that I believe make anything possible. My major is musical theatre and my goal in the end of it all is Broadway; hard work, determination, support, and a strong will will hopefully get me there someday. My role in this group is the "leader" role even though I think all of us are leaders (we are a pretty great group of strong women). When it comes to dance, I just believe that it's in my blood. I've always been around it and I've always appreciated it in every form that I've known. I've been dancing for many years and still do to this day (musical theatre helps with that, though). I've always found myself attracted to anything that had to do with dancing. Over the years, I've come to believe that dance is not only a form of self expression but it's a beautiful and fantastic way of telling a story specifically through movement. Words are powerful, but actions speak louder than words, and dance does just that.
